Summary

shedkm’s work is rooted in regeneration, they practice socially responsive design that demonstrates a people-first approach to placemaking, creating vibrant neighbourhoods and long-term social sustainability. So what does that all involve exactly?

In this film we meet Harry Wright, Architectural Lead at shedkm Liverpool, who introduces his role and everything it involves from leading projects, meeting clients and delivering their aspirations. We also meet Rishita Mahmuda Ahmed, a Part 1 Architectural Assistant based in their London office. Rishita shares insight into why she has chosen to pursue a career in this sector and how she first discovered her love of the industry through an interest in spatial design.

Ice breaker questions

  • Harry lists a number of different other job functions that he works with on a regular basis - can you list these out and discuss how they might work together?
  • Rishita suggests that if you're interested in architecture and spatial design, you should practice talking about your ideas now - why don't you start by talking in pairs about the room or building that you're in and how you would improve it?
