Advertising degrees & courses Compare UK university advertising degrees, explore course content and entry routes.
Disclaimer: While many universities offer excellent undergraduate and post graduate advertising courses, an advertising degree is not the only route into our industry. Agencies are full of people who did a wide range of studies which equipped them with thinking and communication skills – from theology to maths to history – both at A Level or at university.
‘Graduate training programmes’ still exist but there are plenty of alternative pathways including apprenticeships, placements organised by charitable partners such as Brixton Finishing School, internships, entry-level roles, and training programmes that can lead to a successful career. University is just one option, not a requirement. Agencies increasingly partner with organisations such as Ambitious for Autism, ERIC, The Future is ND, Social Fixtand local schools/colleges, in order to widen the diversity of those we hire.
Some agencies are trying to dispense with a requirement for any exam based qualification as character and talent potential are very important to our industry.
