About the opportunity

Discover the fascinating world of the craftspeople who create stunning costumes, scenery and sets for the Royal Opera House on a tour of the Bob and Tamar Manoukian Production Workshop. Royal Opera House Thurrock is based in the dynamic High House Production Park in Purfleet, surrounded by Grade II listed buildings and beautiful converted barns.

During the tour of the Production Workshop, students will explore our metalwork, carpentry, and scenic art departments, gaining a behind-the-scenes look at how we bring our productions to life. The tour will be paired with a hands-on costume design workshop, led by one of our professional design artists.  

Please note that we are able to offer a morning session for one class of up to 30 students (arrival at 9:15 am, departure at 12:00 pm) and an afternoon session for one class of up to 30 students (arrival at 12:15 pm, departure at 3:00 pm).
