About the opportunity

Available to 5 schools in Gwynedd and Surrounding Authorities. Each school will be given 3 workshops with each workshop facilitating 30 young people. Available through the medium of Welsh and English. As of 2025,19.4% of people in Wales listen to podcasts weekly. Between 2018 and 2025, the number of Welsh-language podcasts grew from 38 to over a hundred. In this programme, brought to you by Jordan Eardley, M-Sparc’s Digital Innovation Officer, the intention is to give Young People the experience of a career in podcast production sector. The interactive workshop will allow the young people to learn about the various pathways available to get into a career in podcast production as well as being given a hands-on experience that will test their skills and creativity and allow us to begin to prepare the next generation to further develop this industry.
