About the opportunity

What we see on stage is the tip of an iceberg, with productions supported by creative, production, and operations teams. Novo Theatre's careers assembly highlights how the theatre workforce contains a multitude of skills, from creative roles to construction, finance and even social media. At the end of the assembly pupils will better understand the range of career options available, post-16 career pathways, and how they can get involved in theatre in their area. Running times are between 20 - 45 minutes, flexible to fit in with school timetables. In assemblies over 20 minutes, pupils will have an opportunity to ask us questions about careers in theatre and find out how their skills and interests might be applied in the creative industries. Post-assembly teachers will receive a digital ‘handout’ for students, signposting to regional and national opportunities, initiatives and resources. We also have a Novo Theatre Careers Workshop available, which dovetails with this assembly. Please see out additional activity listing for this information.
