About the opportunity

At Backstage Builders CIC, we offer dynamic, hands-on workshops designed to introduce students to the world behind the curtain. Our school programmes inspire young people through scenic painting, prop making, model design, and set construction — equipping them with creative and practical skills not typically taught in the classroom. Sessions are tailored for Key Stages 3–5 and align with the national curriculum and Arts Award pathways. Led by experienced industry professionals, our workshops promote teamwork, confidence, problem-solving, and awareness of creative career paths. Whether it’s a one-off session or a full project-based programme, we bring backstage to life while supporting inclusion, aspiration, and personal development. All facilitators are DBS-checked and trained in safeguarding and SEND-inclusive practice.
