About the opportunity

Our second creative careers event focus on how to be a good storyteller for different audiences, connected to heritage and football. There will be three workshops for the young people to engage with. - The first workshop will be run by Sassy Holmes and Dara Laughlin, Producer’s in the museum who both create and run facilitated workshops. This session will focus on how to use your theme or source as the stimulus for an engaging story. Their extensive experience in the culture sector will be an example of how important communication and story telling is to each unique organisation, and how you don’t need specialist knowledge to be a great engager. - The second workshop will be run by Louise Rutherford, the Wellbeing and Access Producer. Louise is an expert in Early Years engagement, and has spent the last 10 years developing a specialised programme for under 5s. Louise’s workshop will look at how important engagement is for early years, and how you craft something effective and specific for them - The third workshop will be run by Christian Allen, who works for the BBC in their sports department. Christian’s session will look at storytelling in the football world, focusing on how you tell compelling and engaging story about sport.
