About the opportunity
Nicole is a freelance Sustainability Manager for high-end TV and film productions in Wales. She guides the decarbonisation of productions’ power and transport as well as working with local communities to build circular approaches for the management of material assets. She recently co-developed and delivered Sustainability Coordinator Training for Scripted Productions for Media Cymru and Creative Wales. In partnership with other sustainability professionals, she is a member of Get Set Cymru – a research and development project exploring the creation of reuse hubs, linking the screen sector with commerical, charitable and local enterprises. Alongside her work on productions, she is an associate of Greener Edge, leading on social value reporting for clean energy projects in North Wales. Prior to working in sustainability, Nicole taught in primary schools in the UK and abroad, later becoming an academic director then principal. Nicole Wait is a Sustainability Manager working on TV and film productions in Wales. She will share her professional journey, which took her around the world before entering the screen sector. During the workshop, the Young People will discover the power of the entertainment industry to influence sustainable change behind the camera and on our screens, followed by a challenge to design solutions to real-life problems involving, for example, creative content, energy and transport logistics, materials, and behaviour change.Contact the company about this opportunity
