About the opportunity

PLMR is offering a 2-hour workshop for ten students to learn about PR and Public Affairs at a leading communications agency with a dedicated Education Practice. The workshop would be led by Tiffany Beck OBE, PLMR’s Head of Education and take place at PLMR’s office in Westminster, directly opposite the Department for Education. The workshop will cover the essentials of working in PR and Public Affairs and will include a ‘crisis’ communications simulation, so students can gain an understanding of how PR professionals respond to a ‘PR crisis’ in real time and have the opportunity to make their own decisions about how to best respond. The workshop will also include tips on how to draft a press release and how to lobby the government for policy change. The session should be an insightful opportunity for any students interested in PR, Public Affairs, policymaking or media relations.
