About the opportunity

Opportunity available for Wrexham, Denbighshire, Flintshire in December or Central South Wales in South Wales January.

Awkward Studios is a next-generation creative powerhouse developing bold, original entertainment brands for global audiences out of Cardiff. Founded by Hollie Abbott, their mission is to create compelling intellectual property that lives across multiple platforms - television, gaming, apps and digital - maximising reach, engagement, and long-term value. We believe great ideas shouldn’t be limited to a single medium and have built a slate to support this ethos.

As part of this initiative, young people will be challenged to develop original IP for a TV show through a series of games available in Awkward’s flagship development app, Screenstorm. They will then fill in an IP Flywheel offering ideas for the expansion of the idea into other mediums (e.g. games), merchandise & products and location-based entertainment. Finally, they will pitch their TV idea and flywheel directly to Awkward Studios.
