About the opportunity

The Met is a stunning, award winning live music venue noted nationally for its specialist folk music programme. Having undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment completed in 2016, it incorporates two modernised performance spaces, monthly pop-up kitchens, and Edwin Street Creative Hub which includes a Recording Studio. The Met also hosts Two Crows Art Studios. This November, we’re inviting schools and colleges to visit The Met– to give a ‘behind the scenes’ tour and give a practical insight into different careers in the performing arts industry. Through our tours, your learners can explore how live events are staged, how community-driven programming is developed, and what it takes to run a thriving cultural organisation. Young people will also receive a leaflet, signposting to local initiatives and resources to help give them that first step into a career in the arts and culture sector.
