Creative Access SWAP
Young people aged 18-24 can take part in Creative Access’s six-week programme, combining employability training with work experience across creative industries including TV, Film, Publishing, Advertising and Performing Arts.

Participants aged 18–24, referred through Westminster Jobcentre Plus in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), who are interested in a career in the creative industries will take part in the six-week Creative Access Sector-Based Work Academy Programme (SWAP). The programme combines skills training with a short work experience placement across sectors including TV & Film, Publishing, Advertising & Marketing, Performing Arts and more.
Before their placement, participants will complete pre-employment training to build:
- Industry awareness and employability skills
- Confidence, communication, teamwork and workplace readiness
- Professional expectations around reliability and contribution
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop
The programme runs from the week beginning 19 October to the week beginning 23 November 2026, with placements taking place from 2–20 November and a final reflection day on Thursday 26 November.
Creative Access will match participants with a placement organisation and provide support before, during and after the placement. Activities may include:
- At least one day on-site
- Shadowing team members
- Project or task-based work
- Attending meetings or events
