Discover! Creative Careers with Adobe Foundation: Farnborough International Studios Visit for The Sixth Form College Farnborough March 2025

 

The Sixth Form College Farnborough sent a lucky group of 45 students to the incredible space at Farnborough International Studios for a day of learning about film/ TV physical filming space careers, insights into post production and VFX and a visit to the stages.  The cohort were given presentations on each area of the industry from experts in their fields including Jon Wills, Principal Programmer at immersive VR game developers NDreams based in Farnborough; Kate Vaisey, freelance Visual Effects Supervisor and Producer Pete Nicholson freelance animator and Rachel Morrison, Director at Farnborough International Studios.

The day also included a tour of the sound stages and production facilities before visiting Farnborough International Space Show at the onsite Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre. The students had a chance to meet creatives in the Space industry and listen to the main stage session with Peter Taylor, Head of Operations, at BBC Studios.

At the event, the group also met with Alex Baker, MP for Aldershot and Farnborough, to discuss their day and their future aspirations for working in the creative industries.
